BACHELOR OF VOCATIONAL COURSES (B.VOC)
Tumkur University is the first University to introduce B.Voc Courses. UGC have given approval to start Bachelor of Vocation in two subjects:
- Hardware Technology and Networking; and
- Visual and Applied Arts.
As per the guidelines of UGC, the University have commenced B.Voc in Hardware Technology and Networking, from Academic year 2016-17 and B.Voc. in Visual and Applied Arts will commence from this year that is 2017-18. UGC have provided financial assistance conduct the B.Voc.courses. Eligibility for B.Voc. Degree is PUC pass.
As per the guidelines the students studying B.Voc. Degree, they can gain the Certificate of :
- Diploma after successful completion of first year of B.Voc.
- Advanced Diploma after successfully completion of second year of B.Voc;
- On completion of all the three years they will get the Degree of B.Voc.
